A price comparator, not one more store
Finding the best price for a Magic card should not take fifteen open tabs. That is the whole program.
Quebec has several game stores that sell Magic: The Gathering cards online, and more are added elsewhere in Canada. Each has its own inventory, its own prices and its own search engine, more or less convenient. For a single card, you already have to visit the sites one by one and compare by hand, hoping you did not miss the right one. For a whole deck, forget it.
You choose your stores, Tapt reads their pages while you wait, and shows you where the card is cheapest, with stock, condition and printing. No database that dates from yesterday: the information is fetched at the source the moment you ask for it. One card at a time or a whole pasted deck, it is the same principle.
- Nobody can pay to move up the list. What ranks the results is the price, period.
- No hidden margin. The amount shown is the store's. Tapt sells nothing and takes nothing on your order.
- Local stores first. No big American retailer in the results. Each click sends a customer to a Quebec business.
